What Nihongo Tint is

Nihongo Tint is a free, ad-free Chrome browser extension that helps Japanese learners read Japanese text on the web by color-coding parts of speech, providing dictionary lookups, generating vocabulary flashcards, and reading words aloud.

The Extension is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

Use the Extension as a study aid, not as an authoritative source.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the makers of Nihongo Tint are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Extension. Your sole remedy if you are unhappy with the Extension is to uninstall it.

Third-party services

The Extension contacts third-party services (Jisho, Tatoeba, and on-device Chrome Built-in AI). Their terms and any limits they impose apply to your usage of those services through the Extension. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the new terms. The "Last updated" date will reflect any change.
